Hi.

The Hood Cover has now be prepared for the final top coat of the new mirror chrome paint finish. The paint is available from Chromepaint.com telephone 08452 26 27 26 ask for Dave, cost including Vat and delivery
is £302. 56.

On the picture of the model which has been sprayed you can make out the reflection of an AAA battery The paint has to be sprayed on to a Black Gloss substrate and then left for 10 days before coating.

Log on to the web site for details of a car bonnet being sprayed.

REASON FOR HOOD COVER BEING SPRAYED IN CHROME PAINT.

All will be revealed in 10 days time SO WATCH THIS SPACE.

You're a brave man; trusting someone with cranial worms on your car. ;-)

Having just said that, there's always a risk that it's you in the photo and this is a DIY project - that's a chance I'll have to take though. :oops:

If your going down the Chrome painted car route, your car will be an eye catcher and im sure show winner.

Takes balls to go for that though.

Please get a new camera before the final job.... yours is pants :wink:

I've just noticed something in one of the pics of your car. You have chrome seat protectors. :shock:

think its a case of buy this paint stuff at £300 a pot and paint the bits you want shiney........

Hi

All is now revealed. The hood cover is to be used as a display area for the Peaks and Dales H&HCVC CHARITY CAR RUN (see attached)

I attend a lot of CAR SHOWS each year with the H&H and collect money for the various Charities concerned.

I want to have a "Push the Button" theme for any parent who wishes to have a child "FIRE UP A LOTUS". (will need a new starter if this takes off) PROVIDED THEY MAKE A DONATION TO OUR CHARITY.

The CLUB awards can be displayed on the BOOT of the Lotus. If the Hood
cover is left open with the Battery cover lipped into the rear hood and the cover upright the MIRROR EFFECT should show the awards well.

bit confused here.....Ive done last 7 of the 10 and one was missed due to foot and mouth making 8....never seen your car.......
I did the first 3 runs in my 65 mbg and then the next 4 in my 67 elan......
does this mean youre doing it this year??....
