Drivers door window rattles when it is in the down position and the door is shut. Operation is fine otherwise. Have removed the trim panel but not sure what to check or look for. Can anyone offer any advise?

Hi
See attached:
The drivers door glass sometimes seems to rattlle at sections 52. 50. 56 .13 ,5 22. 36 try some "Waxoil" spray at these sections. Try driving with door card "off" and window down to pin point area sound is coming from.
Hope this helps?

along John's picture above, it could be that #66, the top pads, have come loose? Other reason could be any number of adjuster bolts have come loose at the window rails. Is the window still held tightly in the butterfly clip??--to find out put the window half way up then grab the window top edge and give it some up and down tugs, and gentle front and back tugs. If you get a lot of movement (compare to the other side) then you probably have something loose insode. Id so then you'll need to remove the door card and the 2 access panels and give everything a look.
I just rebuilt my right side door so have intimate knowledge of every part in there--but Dodgy Darren is still the "Door King."

Thanks for pre-empting the question I was just about to ask.
I've just noticed that when the driver's window is down, there is a disturbing glass to metal noise when I shut the door (similar to throwing empties in the bottle bank). Luckily, the weather has been so good that I've had the hood down and windows up the last 4 weeks!
To save me looking, are there any quick guides to stripping the door (looks to dodgy Doug/Darren for words of wisdom)?

Thanks Doug - sorry to get the dodgy bit associated with the wrong D! I'll blame it on this bl**dy laptop keyboard - I've avoided the damned things until now but had to buy one to enable me to try out the Elanscan interface I've just built. Now if only I can get the wireless link set up to download Elanscan......
