This is new to me, a new 1995 S2 owner. Is it like rubber piece pasted from the bottom and curling up over the lower lip, or just a rubber extension below the front lower lip? Any pictures?

It's a rubber extension held on by a number of self-tappers.

Can some kind hearted soul take a picture, and will it fit the Fed nose? One of the previous owners appeared to like braille parking, and so I just have scratched fibreglass, and so a 15 quid investment may be called for!
Thanks in advance,
Ian

Ian,
worth you knowing that it is help on by a ton a fasteners and a bitch to remount unless they are all there waiting for the new part. You should look under your car and be sure none of the holes are torn out and see if any hardware remains. You may need to order lots of fasteners--you could always go to your home center and fudge up some appropriate fastener parts though. Just a warning that it may be more involved than you think.

Doug, and a warning from you mate is one best heeded. Since I've got to save for a respray, and regular maintenance it'd probably be something best left for now.
Thanks again for the warning, best thing with this forum, an extra set of brains before I let loose with the screwdriver!

Dear Mr. Hasi:
I bought enough material from Walker Rubber a few weeks ago to do my front dam twice. I bought it directly from Walker Rubber several weeks before Donington 2006 and they mailed it directly to my hotel and it was waiting there for me upon my arrival. They are still making them and still selling them to the best of my knowledge and experience.
Plus the side wing plates were on the Lotus aftersales list for January, 2006 and I bought two of them while at Donington as well.
If you need me to, I think I can find for you the name of the person at Walker Rubber who helped me with this.
Sincerely,
Algirdas

I ordered mine from Walker Rubber the week before Donington. You can order it by the metre or part number A2341, which is a 2.1m length made exact for the Elan.

Don,
I phoned Walker Rubber today (Tel 01603 415044) and ordered a couple of rubber lip mouldings. Without any prompting, they knew what I was talking about and told me I needed 2.1 metres for the Elan.
If they don't turn up I'll let you know.

Dear Gareth:
I believe Mr. Hasi is asking about those cheap black plastic pieces that hold on the rubber lip and not the ones shown in the pics. Apparently Lotus fitted them to some cars and not to others. Once you lose the lip, the black plastic plates often go with it is my understanding. Lotus aftersales had them on sale this year (the side ones at least) and I bought a center one from Dave Bean. It is my understanding that they help spread out the clamping force on the rubber lip.
Part numbers are A100B0700K Plate-Spoiler Sides and A100B0701K Plate Center (I think).
Sincerely,
Algirdas

@elanman: Thx for your support. I think too, the winglets/flaps of Albert are generaly aftermarket ones and not, like algirdas said, genuine items.
But with his BM on his plate he is in reachable distance

So I got a different idea to other topics

thx for that.
@algirdas: Thx for the mails

Do you know whether walker delivers the side wing plates too or "only" the rubber lip ?
THX so far!

Dear Don:
Walker Rubber only supplies the rubber lip.
Side plates and center plate come from Lotus.
