Me too, probably about 1930, depending when I get away from work. Most likely in Norma but might bring a shiny wheel and tyre that fits an Elan for 'show and tell' unless I have time to fit them to the S2 and scrub in my track tyres down the M3  .

Sorry you couldn't make it Rob, realise you've got more important things on your mind. Next month perhaps.

Good turn out last night albeit had to leave early cos of wifey having an early start today. Didn't have the roof down on the way back cos she went off on one when i suggested it :x I'll wait for the minutes from Jim to find out what happened after i left.

welcome to the new faces, Nick and MickMick hope you get your cooling/braking problems sorted out.

Southern, Spin and Scoff 2006 discussed, Nige will post separate as and when with details - keep the 5th of August free though.

See you all next month.

Nothing much to add. It was good of Nige to bring a BMW Mini wheel to show us what the S2 will wear on track days - good spot!

There were 6 Elans, but people dotted them all over the car park to avoid me getting a good pic. It was good to have 2 new faces, and as Chris said we hope their probs can be resolved without too much pain/cost.

I saw someone had been stopped by the BiB on the A31 but I don't think it was a LECer. I did have my hood down - out and back - only a slight bit of drizzle later on which didn't affect me much.l

Kitty stands at GBP4.65

See you in June!

Thanks very much for the warm welcome Lynne and I received last night at the Hen & Chickens Froyle.

Look forward to meeting with you all again soon.

Can anyone direct me to the artical/page mentioned about rear wishbones.

Many thanks

hi, good to meet you and the mrs last night.

The wishbones i was talking to you about were the rear ones. These are the ones most susseptable to rust. But you should also check out the front as well.

wishbones, don't no of a specific posting but trawl thru the suspension section of the forum and i'm sure you'll get a good idea of what to look for and what is required to change them. just a word of warning, there are some stainless wb's about and i have heard that people have had probs with them fitting properly. Best to go to SW Lotus for them, if you can wait until November you can get them for a cash price at Stoneleigh.

My wb's looked fine on the outside when they came off but you can't tell whats going on on the inside. There has been some horror stories reported - enter Monty!!!!. The SW lotus wb's are the galvanised S2 type which will last for years.

Cheers Chris

If anyone is a Club Lotus member, they might be interested in 'our' Rob S's Esprit in the recent edition - write up about the photo shoot and pics

I've got it in the diary for next Wed, 7 Jun. I'll be travelling down from Wyton via High Wycombe so not sure what time I'll be there. I'll try to bring the Castle Combe DVD. Any one else on for the same day?
