East Midlands Meeting - 5th July 2006 with Club Lotus

Postby Gary » Fri 05.05.2006, 15:16

As discussed at the last East Midlands Meeting, some of us are planning to go to the 5th July Club Lotus Meeting which is held in Elton :

The Crown Inn
8 Duck St
Peterborough
Elton
PE8 6RQ

which is about 5 miles from where we had our last meeting.

Their itinery for this meeting states 'chance to sit, have a drink and admire the cars on the green'

We need a good LEC turn out....They start at 8PM, but no reason why we can't start turning up from 7 as usual.

Also the same group are planning a BBQ on Sunday 3rd September @ Burghley House, Stamford if anyone is interested

Should be there for this - first week in new job, so it will certainly beat sitting in a hotel on my own :D

Hey man, I have more access to there than anywhere at the mo. Besides, I am allowed more friends than just LECers! :-D

You lot are more than welcome to join our gatherings and blips anytime you know.

Shame you can't make it Nige. Hope to see you soon anyway. You taken the hard top off the workhorse yet?!

Hardtop still fitted as time has been spent on either prepping the S2 for Le Mans or replacing tyres and a wheel bearing on the hack.

I had a superb blip to Bournemouth yesterday while some Englangers were poncing about with an inflated leather sack somewhere yesterday! I won't state on-line the time I did it in but this number seems relevent 125 :-D

So little traffic and only saw one cop car! Did frighten the life out of me as it hurled off the slip road joining behind me lights blazing but they must have been out of donuts or something :D

Blipi did me proud. She will be entering her 100k miles soon so celebrations to be arranged!

That'll be mechanical sympathy for you!

See you at Goodwood on Friday? Provisional plan to meet in the vicinity of the start at 1200.

Managed to find the time to refit the soft top on Norma this weekend so that'll guarantee rain  .
