Anyone have any problems with their boot key getting stuck? Here's the scenario:
I put the key to open up the boot (trunk for us Yanks). Turn the key, the boot opens like normal. Then, I have trouble twisting the key back to remove the key and close the boot.
Anyone experience such problems? Maybe I should get some warranty work! :lol:

I had it sticking when trying to unlock. It seemed easier if I turned it the opposite way first then tried unlocking. In the end, something happened to it and I ended up dismantling the whole thing, cleaning & re-lubing then re-assembling it all tightly in place. Works fine now.

The thing that makes it tricky is the access (as always with the Elan!). You have to work through the rubber grommet on the bottom with various pin-nosed pliers and chop sticks!

Well, lubed the locking mechanism again. Last time, I used motor oil. This time, lithium grease. This might turn into an annual inconvenience. We shall see. . .

Doug, here's a picture of Jack's stealth car I took at Amelia. It also proves that body shops' can do a phenomenal job making an Elan like new. Not like a new Elan; just like new.

BTW, one of the cool things about Amelia is that you are free to dress "in period" with your car if you wish. About 20% of people do. It lets you know there were some pretty hot looking babes in "grandma's day." Of course, it doesn't hurt that Florida has the most beautiful women in the world. To a large extent this is because there is no "off season", no months of fattening up behind thick-clothes... you are always on the field.

I don't know about that... I've been all over the world and I lived in Orlando, FL for over a year and I have found Sardegna to have a higher concentration of beautiful women. But as they say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." What was this thread about again?

Nitro, are you sure that model in black is all OEM?
The most beautiful women per capita reside in Prague. Average women in Prague are smoking hot anywhere else (even by your tough standards, Nitro

)However, with a metric of sane/beautiful, Texas appears to have the most desireable women. . .probably because I don't speak Czech. :cry:

Texas?!?! Prague I could buy into, but Texas? I could find more desirable women driving around the block once in San Fran than I could in a week in Dallas.
