What's the score then - there's no link to details on the Castle Combe website? Is it a do for CL members only or are the general public allowed in?
I probably don't want to take her on the track just yet (2 weeks old and first wash today - who locked the "jet wash" forum prematurely?). CC is not far away so it would be good to get down and do some spectating [especially as I missed my first Donny].

I took part last year and am not a member of CL so you should be able to get in.
If there is to be a camp over and jolly as well and I am free that weekend I may come down.
Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

It's a CL thing rather than a CC thing but as Stef has said on the evidence of her participation you don't need to be a member to take part. What I do know is that you can turn up and spectate for free, member or not. I'm definitely driving again this year and would be willing to carry a passenger again (all passengers need to sign on, sign the indemnity and wear a helmet in the same way as drivers). Be good to see some more Elans there driving or not, hope you can make it.

Thanks for the info and thanks for the offer Nige. Hope to see you there.
I gather you've changed your mind Stef and are going camping with a bunch of Scotsmen. Oh well, no accounting for taste!
What time are you coming down the M5 Sy? I'm just off J14 so I may be able to pick you up on your way past. Which way do you normally come - do you go all the way to the M4 or do you pull out early?

Haven't set a time yet Geoff - but early!
We normally cut across country, but I'm easy.

As this is just over a week away I thought I'd bump it up so we can see who'll be there. By my reckoning current attendees are:
1. Me
2. Sy
3. Geoffsmith
4. Mikeh2
We should aim to meet up if people want to. Last year a number of people attended with M100s to spectate or otherwise but didn't make themselves known to the rest of us, so don't be shy we don't bite!

Well spotted Nige. Help, that's next weekend.
I/m sure Dans expressed an interest as well.

If its dry I'll have my new wheels and track day tyres fitted, unfortunately I just haven't had the opportunity to get the quaife, clutch and flywheel fitted. My father-in Law will be with me and is likely to be a passenger on at least one outing. Other than that I'm willing to carry a passenger (at your own risk) Humph survived the experience last year and I'm very mindful that I need to drive home in the car afterwards!

Geoff
If I'm going (see the Flying Cat thread), that's not a problem. I intend to leave my route in the hands of the Road Angel, this time. I've tried several routes to and from CC none of which I particularly like.
Will know more about my personal attendance later this week.

D & I were thinking of going away this b/h w/e to try out our new tent and 2000 tog sleeping bags. The last set of camping equipment being completely knackered at the lakes the other year. We were thinking of the Dorset area but it would be great to drop in on you guys at the track. I would defo like nige to demo lift off understeer to me. So add me and D to the list but as a non driver.
Is anyone else camping down there and is there a decent campsite nearby from anyones experience.
cheers Chris

That'll be lift off oversteer Chris! Look forward to seeing you there. Stef camped at a site just outside Calne last year, I don't have the details though.
I only have 2 runs booked but would hope to get a third as I did last year once they start the open pit lane sessions towards the end of the day. The number of runs I get will determine the number of passenger places I can offer and my Father in Law has first refusal.

Will have to pull out of this one now, due to preperation for a new job and house move (more details to follow later on a more relevant thread).
Sorry to miss you all, but will no doubt catch up with you all soon.
