Bottom line is that I've ordered one at a slight premium, for delivery on Thursday, because mine is close to failure. I should have it on for Castle Combe so I hope it's as good as JonBenk claims it is. I'll post anything of relevance.

It has been suggested that we offer Peco a 10% deposit (£25) to show a genuine commitment. This would (hopefully) allow those who want a system now to go ahead at £250 and not to be held up by those who want to take a bit longer.

Has anyone got any comments/better suggestions?

Hi Geoff , i think a deposit is a good idea, have we got a address for peco in birkenhead as i am going to warrington next week, & could possibly call in & pick mine & maybe another 1 or 2 up.. just need to know how far it is from where i am staying..

Is there a contact number for David at Peco? I'm willing to put down a 10% deposit on a system right now, though like some others, there is no rush for the actual system so I can wait until we have 10 buyers confirmed.

Thanks Geoff, I'll give David a call tomorrow morning with my order. I'm assuming that if I can wait for a system then £25 is all he'll need up front, whereas if I wanted it right away then it would be £300 with a £50 'rebate' once he has 10 confirmed orders.

I think 1st is to wait till Dave confirms he`s happy with a deposit. I`m hoping to get (depending on the weather) the stiffy fitted this weekend, if that goes to plan i`ll be ready fo the Peco system

Dave confirmed that Peco will take a £25 deposit for a system at £250 once we have a total of 10 deposits or £300 for early purchases with the promise of a refund once the numbers reach 10.

I have just got off the phone to dave & left my deposit.
he has had 2 pay full price
3 paid deposit
1 he is fiting today.
not sure if the 1 he is fitting today was included in the 1st 2.
so its either 5 or 6 in total.
