Spotted Doug's GRG Elan on 6-26-2006

Postby Jamie » Tue 27.06.2006, 08:24

Man, it's been a while since I've been on this site. Anyhow, what brought me back is seeing Doug's GRB Elan in San Mateo/Foster City area this last Sunday. I saw his car and was thinking, what the heck had brought Doug in my area??? Then when I was about to honk my horn, an asian guy waved to me, which brought me in total confusion until now. I must say, the guy looked extremely happy : )

Red H reg Wokingham around 6:00 p.m.

Grey haired gent at the controls.

Didn't wave because I was not in an Elan so he wold have been confused.

Seen at Indianapolis Corner, Le Mans, cruising round on the Friday.

There was also a Pacific Blue SE on our ferry (Portsmouth-Caen, Tuesday night) who appeared to be with an Elise. :)

Is that protection in case of rolling behind the seats?

And where do you get those Lotus caps from? Now I've got the Elan I feel I need to have the correct attire!

It certainly is :D with my brother as the bored looking pax!

I was also on the Tuesday night Portsmouth-Caen Ferry and had a chat with the owner of the Blue SE (who was with an Elise), same chap I spoke to last year in the ferry queue and told about LEC. He told me he has found the site and likes it, not sure if he's registered yet though.

H reg Calypso Red Elan SE with the roof down in Cricklade (Wiltshire) High Street... This afternoon about 2:10pm. Think it was Dan (the baseball cpped gent  ), but I was in the Proton (before Lotus got involved with the suspension) so quelled the desire to wave frenetically at him.
