That's an interesting idea - I like it.

I don't think I'd actually go through with it though, because so few people outside these circles would understand what it was all about. I would get fed up of having to endure all the standard "Essex" jokes before being forced to explain it to them!

Nice suggestion though, thanks for the idea. :)

Neil, i like the silver on blue idea, just think the turbo elan sticker in your picture looks so bare all on its own, perhaps if it was bigger or with a stripe would look better, don't give up on the idea !

Just read all 18 pages of this thread... all I can say is, "WOW!" You have thoroghly outdone yourself and just about everbody else. Watching your car evolve has gotten me excited about learning more about the JPS heritage. Great Job!!!

Final bit of phase 1 completed today, had Kia rear lights fitted !. As you can see, ive used one of the reversing lights as the fog light, this is quite standard on UK cars, & made a new number plate plinth up to suit the gap. Also had new decals installed on rear wing & lacquered, as the 1st ones were tending to peel off. The large ones ( Elan Turbo ), are fine, just think its all the little leaves in the laurels that were a problem.......no more !. Actually, there is something else to do ?, see if you can spot it ?, bet Doug does 1st !

Hi Paul, yes mate, got the old Auto Glym soft top cleaner out since Dony, it was quite funny really, we washed & polished the car for Dony, then realised we hadn't done the soft-top, but as we had spent all morning polishing, i wasn't prepared to muck it all up !

Got the windblocker fitted today, after a bit of bending with the brackets, to make it fit with the seats right back, had a stencil made & sprayed the old JPS logo on !

Not at the minute Dave, few ideas in my little brain, need to mull them over for a bit. Actually ive had the windblocker for over a year now, just hadn't got round to fitting it !
