Seats are now out and ready to go to Nick Whales in the morning.
Whether my seats have been out before [probably not with the amount of money found!!] but the spacers seemed to be fixed in position.
Just now deciding if the new magnolia leather will match my door cards.Existing cards are in good nick so should be o.k.

Paul.P - I think you have the right idea... all black with gold bits everywhere - and of course the JPS emblem wherever you can put it. The gold bottom door panel will really lift the interior without you having to put the colour everywhere else - after all, the original team colours were black with gold, not the other way round! The gold piping should help make the car's statement well enough without going OTT.

dont forget that aswell or instead of piping there is GOLD stitching.....not cream or magnolia or oatmeal......if its done in stitching the stitching could be propper gold thread.....
just a thought.....especially for the gaitors and probably door pockets

Just sent my seats off for a retrim, based on what I saw at Stoneleigh.

I asked for the centre seam to be left out and piping to match the seat colour.

I contacted Mel Broome at Lotus via E-Mail, he's really easy to deal with:-

What kind of prices are these seat retrims coming in at guys? Haven't even considered it before, but the originals could do with a revamp if the price is right. Any other recommended sources other than Lotus?

Matt, lotus retrim the seats for £325, unless theres been a price increase since xmas. They also refurb the seat in that price, which is something other company's probably don't do, & also they have the right moulds to cut the leather correctly. I have seen other retrims & whilst there not bad & probably cheaper, i havn't seen any that come up to lotus standards.

Just emailed Mr Broome at Lotus to add handbreak and gearstick gaiters to go along with the door trims the're doing at present.
My seats were done last month but having seen Pauln's magnolia gaiters at Donny,they looked superb.

Bear in mind the Hand brake gaiter on the S2 is secured under the center panel, which means if made as standard you need to either get behind the trim, or glue the gaiter in place.

The company i went with decided that velcro would be the best idea and which i tend to agree with now.

I did see some lovely Re-Trims there.
