Rambo, would you care to tell me if the chip and exhaust get on in your elan? And have you ported your wastegate?

Dovey,

Absolutely no problems - no boost creep, no fuel cut off etc and I haven't touched the wastegate. It's stock standard. Hard to tell if there's more performance - it feels even more responsive but the only way to tell, without being subjective, was to have a pre and post rolling road check

Also, I don't seem to have this high pitched whineing at ~5000 RPM that about 3 of you appear to have experienced since fitting the PECO.

As for the engine stalling at low rev's (AB2CV), I had that once but I put it down to a clumsy right foot !!

I think you may be making a call to ESM ??

A few of us are experiencing screeching at high revs under load. Could the Peco owners club :lol:

post their findings and experienceshere (even if you don't suffer from it) as it's a bit mysterious!

Got mine fitted yesterday - well pleased with the result.

Nice sound and with the Chip, a nice increase in performance :-D

Have noticed the screech as well, so will post as directed (several times) by Geoff, as I find out more.

Just realised you've got Will's yellow S2 - lucky you. I've just realised I can fit 2 Elans in the garage and my wife bought mine as a birthday present, so I was thinking...

Check my post following your initial question on exhausts. I'm afraid we don't seem to have bottomed out the whistle (so it can't be that bad can it!)

Been a while...
Got Alans chip. Fitting was easy and no problem. Unfortunately 2 days before it arrived the thermostat went. Sorted that out and finally got to test it all. Fantastic :-D

Boosts like it did with just the exhaust but only goes up to 0.8 bar (its a kili) I've tried to get it to go over 0.8 but it just doesnt have it. Total success :-D

The Peco and kili are working well together, no problems or fuss. Superb.

Hi all,

Had mine fitted by Dave at Peco's premises in Birkenhead yesterday.

Looks great, bit louder than I expected (although hopefully this'll reduce after a few more miles) and there's a bit of contact with the valance (but this's probably due to poor bodywork fitment) but overall I'm please with it.
The boost has increased too. Never used to excede .5 Bar, but now stays there for a short while then carries on up the gauge, although not been able to see how far it'll go. Acceleration feels better before the boost too.
No problems with CEL or schreeching/whistling either, thankfully.

Dave's very helpful, and it was good to see another elan owner/car since I got mine!!
