mmmm.....
could be although why should that alter the position of all the switches etc on the 'centre' section.....fan speed, temp, hazard warning lights, fog light switch, cigar lighter etc etc etc.....
is the air bag not kept in the steering wheel for the driver and under a lid above the glove box for the passenger......
I know it'll have extra gadetry for the bags but why does that change the location of your 'switches'.......
I dunno......
just a thought

Probably to do with ergonomics, most used switches closer to the driver?

the lights switch and is different also the shape, rounded in RHS.
