Keyless entry system, can it be installed?

Hi,

I have an S2. It was not properly maintained. For example, its alarm and central locking sytem were not there! Are our Elans equipped with KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM?

I am interested in installing a keyless entry system. I would not want to have an alarm system instaleed.

What are my options? Can you give me specific instructions as to how I should proceed? Any DIY kit out there?

I stand to be corrected, but I thought it was standard equipment on S2s to have a keyless entry system and alarm/imoboliser...

Why not install an alarm? Why have a keyless entry without the alarm?

But, to answer the question, sure you can put one in and attach it to the central locking system. The entry system (or alarm system) that you purchase will have the instructions you need, then all you will have to do is locate the central locking system box and they splice into the correct wires. I might be able to look at mine some time here soon and give you the wire colors since mine had an alarm system hooked up to the central that activated the door locks.
