Actually if Elton removed his hair piece he'd be a dead ringer for Mr P.

Perhaps it's time you came out of the closet...

No worries mate, just wondered if you could show us what they looked like fitted...

Glad the Mondy-mark has been removed, but with all that work scheduled for the car when do you get to drive it?

Know what you mean, you guy's, at the minute. Spoke to Trim Tech today & hoods done apparantly, so off to pick up early in the morning.
Just unfortunate with this prang i had, as only time i envisaged not having her this year, was for service & mot, but it has all come at once.
Always make meets Dave, gotta have bit of commitment, mind you the miles you come, your well commited !

Sy, Paul,

You don’t give much away about what we’re looking for here. I’ve had a quick shufty and come up with:
 I presume Paul was checking the acceleration or there were a few slow cars he kept finding and passing.
 Paul has either a chip or an MBC fitted. Boost goes up nicely to around 0.9 bar when asked. No overboost or creep.
 The acceleration event in 3rd gear from 463 to 466 secs looks like the car’s going well, presuming that it occured on a flat bit of road. The gradient of the time/RPM graph is identical to a log of my car on a good/fair day with the base timing slightly off.
 The two acceleration events in 3rd gear from 195-199 secs & 516 –521 secs are not as good. They are noticeably slower although the throttle is at 100% and boost is similar to event 463-466. If he was going uphill, that’s OK; if it was level, it’s not OK.

I haven’t spotted anything too wierd. What are we looking for here?

John, you are quite correct, i have the everest V4 fitted. When the chip was 1st fitted, approx 1yr ago, the car really forced you back in the seat when full throttle in 2nd & 3rd, & now it doesn't !. This seemed to first appear in about june time, when it was really hot, hence i posted on the forum about it. The car runs really smooth, always starts, doesn't use any oil or water, has just been serviced, had new kingsborne wires & iridium plugs. The scan was done on the M42 just down from Sy's house. I managed to give it full throttle in 3rd to about 6750rpm. the road was pretty flat. Any info you can tell me to put it back to where it was, will be gratefully received !

Paul,
I haven't had another look at the data, but what you say seems to be borne out by the log. It's not as fast as it should be.

The boost looks good to me. It builds to the level it should and stays there, decaying slowly. So sincethe chip is still giving the boost it's meant to I'd check the usual suspects: static timing at 16 deg btdc, plugs OK and correctly gapped, and exhaust not clagged up. You don't have a cat do you?

Can you do a 30to70 in 3rd gear at full throttle sometime and send me the log?

John, cars going back to GST in a couple of wks for other work, so i will get them to check, & adjust if needed, the static timing. I did put new iridium plugs in about 4 mnths ago, so they should be ok, but can check. No cat, its an SE, but still running standard exhaust with squish, with a SJ's sport rear box. Doing another run is not easy for me, as i don't have elanscan myself, but what i'll try & do, is get all these bits done before Stoneleigh, & perhaps someone who's coming can do me another run there.
