Southern Area Xmas Lunch

Postby chris.t » Thu 05.10.2006, 13:41

As discussed at the H&C last night here is the H&C Xmas lunch menu (£19.95).

The date is yet undecided but we will aim for a sunday like last year. Nothing is cast in stone though and obviously the date should be one that everyone can hopefully make. Therefore can you state dates that you defo can't make. If we have to make it an evening could you state your preference.

The sunday dates are as follows

26/11
3/12
10/12
17/12

Just really need to get a general concensus at this stage.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Stevie,

Mains and puds - OK but there have already been some negative comments about the choice of starters.

The thing is - I'm not that fussy so long as there's turkey and xmas pud I'm happy . Image

well glad i am not the only 1, i dont have a problem with the price i just think if its a xmas lunch & we are paying for a lunch we should get our moneys worth, if the feeling from most is that they will not eat 1 course which is on offer, then its obviously not too the groups taste, & maybe we should see if they could offer something else or maybe we should look elsewhere..

how can we set a date if we havent got numbers.

how do we know numbers if we cant set a date.

I think we need to book sooner than later cos we are talking upto 20 bods which could be difficult to fit in.

We really need to know the date when most can make it so please let us know by posting here.

I think the 'Oak' looks good but with limited space we may need to be flexible with dates. Probably an earlier date would be easier to book for the numbers.

I know it seems like a long way off but it soon creeps up on you and by that time its too late.

Take your point Steve, maybe we just book a table of say 12 on the first sunday in december - first come ...........
