Paul,

If I can get an idea of the numbers required, I dont mind drafting something along those lines, and taking up the baton on this one on behalf of LEC members

Well I am certainly in for some.

It's worrying if the Elise spares are in a bad way, but to a certain degree not surprising. I seem to remember my father bemoaning availability of spares and their cost (esp. for small items).

Or maybe thats just the Scots in us

My insurance company and I will soon have waited 1 year for Lotus to supply the A post seals so that my windscreen replacement can be completed :( Fortunately, I can still use the car but what if.......
Pressure on the company must be worth a go and thanks to Dave for volunteering

Dave, i spoke to Beegee, our guy in Korea who supplied the rear lights, to see if they had any A post seals, & he said they were in the same situation as us !

What about a petition, getting as many members of this forum as we can to put their name to it, calling upon Lotus to actively support the owners of models that are no longer in production by maintaining the supply of parts?

I would sign this in a flash, then maybe I could get some parts for my Elite. Lotusbits.com is pretty good but they don't have everything.

Shame there isn't someone like the for the Elan.

You can add me to the petition. A spare set would always be handy (price considering)

Do we know what the price is likely to be?

It would certainly be worth having a set put by for a ""rainy day""! :-D

Add me to both lists

So that is three sets that you guys want. As for Mobis details, i will have to look into that for you phil,as far as i know mobis will not entertain any enquires for parts to be sent outside Korea. Some deal that was made with Lotus when they bought the manufacturing line, that they would not export parts. One way i might be able to help you is through Kia, my friend works for them, but through an insurance company might be impossible. i would suggest that you just ask for the money from the insurance company and buy them yourself. Tell them the situation.

Anyway, you guys who want them will have to send money to my bank account as i cant withdraw money from paypal in korea.
So send the money to this bank

KEB Bank
A/c Brent Greatbatch
A/C No.620-163097-126
1037-9 Manchon Dong
Susung Gu
Daegu City
South Korea

the shipping you can pay later after I have sent them and know how much...THAT CAN be sent thru Paypal

when you have sent it please send me your full name and address. Should be about three days after recieving the money that i can send them
