Just been followed by a red H reg. along the A270 from Holmbush towards Brighton.

Exchanged waves before I turned off for home.

Mine needs a wash

Saw two nice Elan (apart from mine) on my weekend trip to Mark's cabin in Inverdruie:
A nice-looking red one in Banchory sitting outside the MOT garage next to the supermarket, and Archie's green one at his hunting lodge in Gairnsheil - what a beautiful location. We need to organise a LEC visit after Callander next year.

Yep wouldn't mind a trip up there Archie. Bonfires allowed? :D

Spotted - thursday (19th)

Calypso SE H reg on the M8 junction 3A, near Livingston west turn off.
Rambo on a trip out? Must admit though the roof wasn't buldging so maybe not :D (is that how you spell buldging? looks weird)

Also - nearly collapsed at the wheel, whilst at the remote truckstop i've used every thursday for the last 4 years saw a pacific blue (the darker shade I think) go by - Off the M74 junction 14, Crawford truckstop, 5pm.
Its not often you see any kind of sports car around there never mind an elan.
4+ hours stuck in a damp bucket seat with a mad Irishman at the wheel - Deep joy!!!!

Keep seeing a red one driving up and down the A60 in Nottingham/Arnold, unfortunately I have always been in something un-mentionable at the time!

Saw my first Elan tonight since owning one!

Approx 9.45 pm.

BRG - I think (it was dark under sodium lights) A23 Redhill in Surrey leaving the Battlebridge lights travelling southbound.

I was on foot, but I just saw 2 vehicles leaving the lights at speed, once they flew past me I saw that an MGF had tried to take the Elan from the lights (foolish boy) - goes without saying who won!

It was only after they passed I saw it was an Elan and it was going too fast by then to get a reg!

Why does everyone try to take Elans on at lights? Happens to me all the time, the last time for me was at those very same lights it was a 19 yr old complete with baseball cap in an old Mondeo?!?!?

I have lived around here for years and never has this happened to me until I bought the Elan?

The joys of owning an Elan. You just get used to it. Also the road rage. They are only jealous.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Green Elan in Marlow at the silly double mini roundabout thing heading towards the bridge.

Oldish man driving (not surprising being BRG ;) ) but seemed quite arrogant. I waved but no response.

I was faffing a bit as I was just setting off on the Dubloon Hoon with a 911 following. Couldn't miss us dressed as Pirates with the roof off and flag on the aerial! :-D

What a laff we had!
