metalic lotus racing green.. not emrald or empire.
should have yellow coloured spokes on s2. but these have been resprayed back to silver... not for long....
does anyone know the colour code of the yellow spokes ?
i guess it should be NMY.. but thats a guess but was the current 95/96 paint code of yellow.
the LGR yellow spoke edition i think was a run of 5 or 6 only..again correct me if i am wrong..

Clemo,
Sounds like you've bagged one of the most exclusive Elans around.
Nice one! (Although a bit too close to 'zimmer' green for my liking)

That's probably how I managed to post
Clemo's details before Clemo!
Gazza is the S2 database custodian - If you could give him a copy of your avatar in Midnight Blue, you never know your luck.

I think they are the 90° catches that stop the mats from slipping around.

Just for your info' Gazza. There is a Palacio S2 here in Dubai. I nearly bought it a while back and then decided against it. Two-ish years ago it was Palacio with grey leather and standard black hood. It had A/C and leather (no piping) as its only options. The car is left hand drive and was purchased in London (not sure where). It was then sent to Dubai by the same owner who is a Dubai born Arab. It was actually his English wife who wanted and recieved the car. She never really used it and two years or so ago it had still only done 14,000 Kms. It is, or certainly was mint! It's only downside being the fitting of a radio-cassette that had come from a 90's Mercedes (ugly becker unit). Don't know what happened to the Clarion unit. The guy may well still have the car. I have seen it for sale since but knowing the guy wanted far too much money for the car in this market and the fact that he really wasn't selling it for the money I'd say he still has it.
I can't tell you the number either because I simply don't recall, but I have a feeling it was a two didgit number perhaps #64. But really, don't hold me to that as I could be making the whole idea up. The owner told me it was a '95 but I think it's a '94 production. I didn't pay too much attention. I know this is really vague, but it's another one for your list (kind-of). Cheers...

Whilst I'm at it Gazza. Do you know how many cars there are in your colour? I've only ever seen one other car. It was September 1998 and the car was for sale at K.S.B Motorgroup in Chiswick London. It was also advertised in Top Car used car magazine (long since discontinued I believe). I bought it here in Dubai at the time. With this description... 1995/M. Special order Lotus Royal blue/Magnolia leather. Air conditioning. 1 owner. F.L.S.H. 5k miles. The car is still in as new condition. The best on the UK market. Priced to sell at 23,995 pounds. Perhaps this is your car?
No edition number provided. Sorry!
Also I do remember the LRG car (or one of the 11 at least) with its yellow wheels sitting in the showroom in Birmingham at the since departed Ryland Lotus. It must have been one of the very last. I've got the original showroom brochures and options list brochure of the S2 that the dealers were giving out at the time. I was only 15/16 and would go most weeks to the showroom and just stare! Ha, ha... Seems funny but I still do the same now!!! Ha, ha...

Gazza's car is Midnight Blue (and I'm very very jealous as it's an even better colour than Calypso Red) - there were 4 listed on his database back in July and two other LEC owners are
Ratman and
jamesw.

Looks like he will 'cause I can't see it on the database. Welcome to LEC and thanks for making your post such an important one. Gary will no doubt be in touch to grill you for mileage, reg, extras, etc. etc.
