OK Ian. Saw your email yesterday. So I decided to have it done today :-D

The new horn came with its relay and mounting screws. The dealer actually throw in the inline fuse for free and 4 full pages of instruction on the top of what is already there from the manufacturers. Good service there, thumb up from me :) , so you can practically fit this Italian airhorn in pretty much any vehicle no matter what horn system you already have.

Picture below shows the original "toot-toot" horn. Disconnect the negative from the battery and let the fun begins

You will need just 10mm and 13mm sockets. The lower horn was pretty easy to get it out. The upper one though, you will find the rubber cushion right behind the mounting bolt. Easiest way would be to remove 2 x 10mm on the top that secure the verticle mounting bracket. I have the new connectors on hand but found that I could just WD40 the corroded existing one (nice green in color ;-) ) and just plug them in. Some heat shrink tube and electric tape to keep another pair secured neatly. Tested it again before you put everything back.

Supposedly ear-piercing sound, but you will find you actually enjoy it  :-D !!

Gave up on finding GM junk switch. I tried installing this micro switch there. Cost me a grand total of < $2 ;-)

That's right Geoff

A lot more sensitive with the micro switch. Now you just have to lightly tap at the sweet spot on the right ;-) Really like what I did to it. Left side requires too much efforts in comparison.

Dremeled it a bit

Give it nice soldering joints

Liquid Electric tape

Making sure it will not short circuit. I had to bend the contacts at the back so it would fit in nicely. Then I glued the new switch inside the original case.

Looks normal from the outside, but much easier to activate it.

Yeah!! 100% horny as a result. :smt026

I have the same little black GG air horns on my car. been in there for the past 6-8 months and all I can say is YEAH Baby! they actually sound like the horn I had on my Countach. I fitted them up high on the "shelf" above the oil cooler as I no longer have any wheel liners and didn't want then to fill up with water. Its a snug fit but the end result was well worth it. No drilling, fabing, or swearing was involved. Just a bit of time and patience.

Great Job on the new horn button too Ekapol!!!
