This was thrown together rather hastilly, no real consideration given to the licence plate location. I don't think it spoils things too much if it were to stay between the lights though?

Very nice design Brian. I also like that the center exhaust forms the triangle shape with the inner edge. Give it a lot more aggressive look. Under bumper cover also echoes the upper line wrapping it all up nicely :smt023

That's truly spectacular. It doen't just bring the look up to today's styling, it dramatically changes the appearance and makes it look like next year's model!

From what I know, the inner-shape of the stock rear bumper has its aerodynamic purpose and creates downforce to the rear. Destroying it for aesthetical reasons may destroy the perfomance of your car.

I ve searched a lot about it and would have done this exterior modification 1 year ago but after of what I learned I quit at once.

I quite like the plate in the bumper and the single Lotus badge where the plate was. I do see, though, that it may not be entirely practical. Brian, any chance you might show us a pic with only the tail lights done and the bumper as stock? Just curious to see what that would look like.

Ooooo....that was fast service! The plate would have to be in its current position between the light clusters, not in the bumper. Can be illuminated from there.

Backlit? There is an example on here or some Trevors have it like this.
Very nice Brian, can you add an animated twinkle to simulate it lighting up, maybe the tail lights followed by indicators etc :-)

I doubt this very much. When you consider all the disruptive objects ahead of the rear bumper and the shape of the underside itself it's extremely unlikely to generate any 'downforce'.
The spoiler on the trunk lid however is probably a lot more important, by reducing lift and adding some drag to help stabilize the back end.
A nicely designed diffuser however can create significant downforce.
