Thanks Ailwyn, that would be great !.
I have changed the plugs again, & she seems to go quite a lot better, although the plugs looked good that came out, lets see what the timing shows up ?

Paul just posted something that might be relevant to your problem here. Should have posted it here really but never mind.

[edit]
Here's what I posted:
ESM wrote:Regarding the relatively poor performance from Paul's car. It seems to fall behind the other from around 4700rpm which is the point where the secondary throttles are supposed to open. Its possible the actuator or the solenoid valve isn't working (bad connection, bad actuator, dislodged or leaking pipe, etc). From memory the secondaries open when you put the car into field service mode so it might be worth checking that they are actually opening correctly.

Having gone back to the manual it seems that the secondary valve will stay open rather than closed if the solenoid stops working or the actuator loses vacuum. Its still just possible its stuck closed but its less likely.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to sit on your arse with a blank look on your face.

JPS elanscan for people to ponder.

Paul, looks to me like your secondary throttles are opening as they should at 4500rpm.

Ailwyn, i can't read this, unless you can tell me which programe i need to download, but any info anybody can give me will be gratefully received. One thing i did notice as i was booting it, was a quite load bang, like a backfire, & it seems to be a bit quicker now ?. Havn't had the static timing done yet.
Thanks again for doing this Ailwyn !

Paul,

Download and/or open the zip file and you should then be able to save the elanscan file (jps.ecu) onto your computer. Run ElanScan and load the .ecu file (File Load) into ElanScan for viewing.
