Fat Lotus

Postby Stef » Tue 28.02.2006, 17:55

A kid commented on my car today saying it was 'fat'.

I was about to take offence to this when I realised it was a compliment!

It seems that fat or 'phat' as I believe they spell it, is a new word for cool.

Pass me the chocolate! :-D

The yoof of today eh?!

From an interview with Peter Stevens: -

When asked if there is anything in his career that he regrets, the Elan is cited once more: "I would narrow the rear end (it always looks to have a fat bum) and put back the two inches in the wheelbase that our engineers removed in error. Apparently, they even sabotaged Lotus's computer design system so that the then Lotus boss Michael Kimberley would not discover their blunder, which made it impossible to add a two-plus-two version to the range."

But I'd lay off the chocky just in case... :P

Some of my favourite comments about me Elan...

"WOW! Nice car! ...Er, what is it?"

"I like them Elans. They have a 2.5 litre V6..."

"Thats not a H plate car mate, I'm telling you..."

And my personal favourite...

"Quick!? My Renault Espace is f**king quick, mate!"

Think most car owners think the Elan has a fat bum, because thats all they see of it, dissapearing away from them !

In support of Stef's rear end which I have seen -and considering she is "one of the boys" I thought it was in really good shape.

Don't worry Stef, there's nothing wrong with your rear end, nothing to be embarrassed about anyway, just dirty old men ( Gary ) passing comment.

From the posts, I would venture Stef's sexiest part is between her ears. ;-)
