What do we know about #165

Postby Marcus_uk » Thu 09.04.2009, 18:39

Hi guys,

This is car im going to look at tomorrow, any input would be greatly appreciated. Looks like its got a different dump valve and a stainless exhaust (hopefully not a loud one) and maybe uprated the brakes??. Any history would be great...Gazza is it on your registry? Please PM me any info.

Thanks in Advance.

Marcus

All I know is this car has been uyp for sale for a long time. Not that that should be any real concern.
Looks lovely, but that exhaust looks daft!

This car is definately in some Donington pictures.

I think the Elanman was trying to throw you a link to one of the RS Piper threads. Im not sure which one he wanted you to get. I think that they all have relevant information on them. They are probable cheaper then stock anyway. Andy

Yeah, but he's been to the pub!

Try this one

There is another l - o - n - g thread about the development of the system, but it takes a fair bit of reading - the link above and clicking to link to their website should be enough for now!

I can't help with the price of a standard system, but for the price of the Piper in stainless with a lifetime guarantee, i wouldn't even consider a standard mild steel one - they have a number of 'options' but if you want it to be fairly standard, the 2 1/4" system with 2 silencers is probably a good one to consider.

If you're going to Donington, there will be a large selection of options for you to listen to and look at!
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Why has it been for sale for so long and such a good price? It looks good in the Photo and the blue contrast looks great. But why £2000 under value? Has it been kept inside. I think you should wait until you can get someone on the site to look at it. It looks to good a deal. Or the photo's are not telling the full story. Is this S2 not one of the cheapest you have seen? They're not moving like they used to.
I think it's well priced!
It's been up for sale for an age, but withdrawn from most of the ad's I think. My car was the same. Some people just aren't too fussed about selling their cars. Especially if it's a second car like mine was. When I bought mine the guy was laid back he was lying down!
