Play in track control ball joint

Postby Joe » Sun 26.04.2009, 06:32

Any one know how much play is allowed in the MOT test. Mine has a tiny but noticeable clunk when wobbling the wheel with the car jacked up on the drivers side only. Before the health and safety brigade jump on me It will be replaced ASAP and certainly before the car is driven hard again. I just need to get an MOT on it.

I also here a nasty rumour that the part is obsolete but I can get two for £120 with a free rack :-D is this the case?
Currently Elan-less and on the lookout for a good one.

Last month I received my two free trackrod ends with my steering rack. I ordered the RH S2 rack (£127.65 plus vat ), but I think someone recently ordered a LH rack and it did not include the TREs :?

Yes and yes...

"Lotus Aftersales"...... and "Dick Lovette" is most probably your closest dealer...
