Not sure if I have the right thread here but whatever!
Currently on eBay the following:
LOTUS ELISE STEERING WHEEL LOTUS STEERING WHEEL ELISE ELAN ECLAT EUROPA ESPRIT - http://item.ebay.com/150704275931
The question is 'will this fit an SE?', What Mod, if any will be necessary to fit it?
The seller is unsure if this is off an Elise S1 or S2, does it matter?

With the standard SE non airbag wheel? Simple answer is yes. Will need a small bit if modification to the OEM hub IIRC but should be straight forward.

fitted straight onto my SE for me - but it is a much smaller wheel and on the road it is much heavier than std - on the track it is great

It will fit ! (it is the same one that a few of us have fitted to ours).
As far as the actual fitting goes, it is simple, but there are a few potential pitfalls to be aware of....
....having done it a fair few times i can do the entire swap in much less than half an hour, but the first one took me all day to think through how to get the old one off without damage - DO NOT HIT THE SHAFT/WHEEL WITH A BIG HAMMER - IT WILL DAMAGE THE SHAFT AS IT IS A COLLAPSIBLE STRUCTURE.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Something like that would probably work, as would any similar 3-leg internal/external puller, but as it is only pulling on the collapsible spacer, i decided that i'd rather use a solid bar passed through the spacer to avoid any distorion and consequent damage/injury as the thing comes flying off when it distorts due to localised pulling
