Steering joints... what's the latest (2016) word?

Hi all on this sunny sunday (well, at least here in the Netherlands).

My car very slowly developed a rattle on maximum steering angle.
I had a look yesterday, and it looks like the inner universal joints on the steering rack are dead now. Like almost any job on my Elan, this is a first timer for me, but I want to replace both inner universal joints + the track rod ends. (followed by alignment)

Having read several topics about this, I now wander what parts I need to order for both the inner joints and track rod ends.
I prefer high quality parts, but not for Lotus prices

I'll promise to make a photo howto again whilst finishing this job.

Hmmmzzz...

I cannot seem to find a part number or a picture from the inner joints in the parts guide?
Does this mean that I have to obtain a complete steering rack just for this one joint?

Edit: Thanks to some old posts from John (Brit-Car-Nut) I am now scared of what might come... No loose parts, but a new or refurbished steering rack...
Perhaps I better sell the car before I need to sell the house to maintain the car and get a nice MX5 instead...

Don't bother... I just pulled the bellow on the rack to have a peek, and the rack's a goner

If you do need a whole steering rack the LHD racks were still available on the last Lotus Aftersales list I had a copy of.

S1 = £195 inc VAT
S2 = £254 inc VAT

Thanks! I looked that up this afternoon as well.

I am also on track of another new OEM steering rack for an even better price. However I do not know if it is SE or S2! Since the differences are in the valves, does anyone please know if you can tell if it is an SE or a S2 rack from the outside?
