The rear chassis came up really nicely, in fairness it was mostly surface rust so a mixture of angle grinder, then phosphoric acid did the job. Epoxy primer and done. The insides were cleaned with a wire brush where I could reach and all bits hovered out, the sprayed with rust converter. Question currently is what to do next, the area seems prone to rust, and the drainage holes are about 10mm above the box edge. There is one hole about 20mm forward of the large circular cutout which had a plastic bung. That made no sense to me but is there a reason that would have been blocked off? Is that an access port to add waxoil but not drain?
Otherwise, should I be putting waxoil into the section or simply spray with Lanoguard?
Thank you.
