Lost e-mails

Postby GeoffSmith » Sat 25.11.2006, 23:44

Capman has sent me e-mails from two Supanet accounts and they don't get through to my UKF (Giacom) account. Any ideas?

Update: they come to one UKF account but not the other so it's not an ISP related issue.

As far as I can tell, it's not that. My settings are common to both accounts and both accounts are with the same ISP! :smt017

This may sound silly but I mention it only because I've done it myself and been the victim of it too.

Is it at all possible the sender has a small spelling mistake in the e-mail address of the other account??????

We covered that too, as he was replying to my e-mail.

What gets me is I'm getting more spam than you could shake a stick at and the primary recipient is similar to GatesIsGod@Microsoft.com but it gets through to ME! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (I bet Phylis is behind it!).

There's another possibility When you have two accounts with the same ISP and the "setting are the same" as you previously indicated, the return address might be duplicated. If you open Outlook Express (or whatever else you have - OE for the example though) you can go to Tools, Accounts then select an account and view its properties. Have a look at what the displayed or return e-mail addresses are showing. You may have the return e-mail address for one set as the same address as the second e-mail account.

Worth looking at I suppose.
