Firefox Browser

Given we have experienced some browser related (Internet Explorer) issues post-upgrade I thought I would post up a link to the FireFox browser, which is free, easy to install and is more likely in the future to incorporate all the latest internet standards and technologies, it's also more secure than Internet Explorer.

Firefox is what I've used for years on home PCs. Some nice functions which make things easy, and make it much better than Explorer to use. I also use it on the Mac as a backup to Safari for a few sites which Safari doesn't like. I only use Explorer when I have to.

I have to agree too. Firefox is far superior to IE whatever version. More secure and more individually-adaptable. You can get all sorts of add-ons. My two favourites are an on-line spell checker (UK English is included as an option) that works like MS Word and puts a wiggly red line under words it doesn't recognise and an instant weather forecaster that is programmable to anywhere in't world.

I'm partial to Firefox, too, but then I build the distribution releases of Firefox for use on the BeOS/Zeta/Haiku operating systems. If you're still using Firefox 2, you might even be interested in the theme (look and feel) I maintain to go along with BeOS.
