Earls Court 1991 Show Car

As Many of you know I've researched many cars, this is my latest research project...

I'm launching an appeal to see if you could trawl through your archives for any historic photographs (Donington and such like), and come up with any feasible Silk Red SE's.

I haven't seen the SE database, but I've located about 10 cars... but sadly none seem to fit the bill.

Here's hoping you can hit me up with a Registration, VIN or photograph

The second photo (S2 wheels) is mine. It was registered in August '92 and built in July '92 AFAIK, so not a contender for the Princess Di video.

Yes it's NHD167**
Interestingly it's way above the range given by GGLC in their production figures, which suggest the last SE VIN was 6622

I Know GGLC figures are out at the start, but I didn't know about the other end...

Just a quick update...

After a couple of weeks work... the car has been identified...

At the present, I believe the owner is blissfully unaware...

It's a '92 registered car...

I guess it's comparable to someone having a winning lottery ticket, but they've just not checked it

So....16 Silk red cars... two Silk Red owners have contacted me... that only leaves 14...

So do we need to hunt down and buy a Silk red SE of 1992 vintage?

Nice colour and never seen one on the road.

I know of a Silk Red that is of that age.
Owner has had it for a while.
