Okay to always use fuel stabilizer?

As I don't use the car all that often, and it's in "cold" storage a lot, I put Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer in every time I add gasoline to the tank. Around my parts there's always some ethanol in the fuel, and I'm hoping this is a good practice and not a mistake. Thoughts?

I've been using fuel stabilizer for a few years in our M100. I don't know if it helps but I haven't found a down side to its use.

I certainly hope so - I've started using Sta-bil in Smaug about a year ago since he only gets out occasionally these days. Now I'm concerned and must start web-searching.

I've googled it to death and personally can't find any signs that this is a bad idea, just, relatively speaking, expensive. Frankly I consider it cheap compared to the alternative.

I personally do not use the fuel stabilizers. I do use the fuel injection cleaners and
octane boosters. I believe these do a similar job at keeping the Ethanol
from separating.
