Evening all
I sent the new owner/seller an email asking for more pictures. He said he had owned the car for a year and had it regularly serviced at A1 services in Birmingham. I asked why he was selling it after such a short period then offered him £1200 because of the colour. Its now taken off the site

Lol I have more than £1200 its just that people like that tick me off big time. They grab something and double the price. Then to tell me that he had owned the car for a year. I'm in no rush and if the right car presents itself so be it. I'm not after a trailer queen just an honest car with a history

Rambo she is not for sale, she is a work in progress. She is going in to have the head converted to run on unleaded next month and to have a new clutch put in at the same time. Im also splashing out on the Burton eng. water pump housing so that repairing the water pump is less of a major event if needed in the future, but thank you for the offer

Although I have not contacted the seller of the Pistachio Green Elan, I'd advise anyone thinking of buying this car to look at this thread as it may well be the 'same' individual.

Well it didn't stick to the calipers but I have a nice red slate patio table, maybe the sun will fade it

Good to see it's accumulating in value so much recently Really wish I'd seen this when Ray was selling it, I'd have bought it back again.

I note in the last picture of the engine that something is missing, not sure what? To the top left of the picture you can see a couple of holes and primer (or the original silver) where there must have been something fixed when we sprayed it!

Not so keen on the wheels now they've been returned back to the original colour, I thought the darker colour I did them went better with the green.

Where he says about 1 of only 8 cars in pistachio green, I wonder if that's a stat based on the older Elan rather than the M100 which (as we know) never came in pistachio!

You'd think at that price they could have lashed out and bought two new rawlnuts and fixed it.. ..instead of leaving the transducer bouncing around inside the engine bay.

Apologies to 'live' Kier. I preferred the darker rims as well.

Engine bay looks a bit tatty and unloved, particularly the floppy transducer. I guess once that gets fixed the price might go up to £6500

Another thumbs up for the darker rims. They make the Elan look more contemporary.

Open to offers Kier. How about £1500 ?
