I worry about low mileage cars when the MOT History shows the mileage is lower in 2017 than it was in 2016, having done -258 miles that year ... driving backwards for a year maybe ..

So you think somebody has 'clocked' it 250 miles one year ? Very funny. I think its far more likely on the MOT in 2016 they misread the 1 as a 7. Mileage should of being recorded as 66129. I actually have all the MOT certificates from 2000 onward. I can assure you the mileage is genuine.

258 miles actually.. previous MOT was 6,205 miles lower so that was a big jump in a year ,... or if it should have been (to use the English language correctly) 66,129 miles, that's still 4,605 in a year ...
With so many Insurance Companies specifying the annual mileage the policy covers it is always a good idea to make sure the MOT guy records it correctly ... though I find they usually do.

Yes I have taken a few M100's apart over the years for spares but only because they were uneconomical to repair. I've driven Elan's for years as well so am a fan. It was never my intention to sell this car. I know I will struggle to find another as good but have other modern classics I use more often. Only having 2 seats is a real issue with a growing family and I need to trim my collection.
