When an item appears on a previous list but is omitted from the current one, are we to assume that the item is now 'sold out'?

I ask merely because I was pleased to note bushes for the rear top link are available on the version submitted by Dave back in Nov last year but they no longer appear in Johns subsequent lists:

Is a darn site less than SJ's: £12.23 ex vat ex delivery, especially when you want 4 off

My previous experience with the A/S list is if it's not on a new list then it has gone. Probably bought up by the sharks on E Bay !!

B100D6018F: BUSH-REAR UPPER LINK became obsolete on 28.04.15. You will need to check all of the local stockists. Try SW Lotus, Matty and anyone else that might have old stock. SJ's seems to always bump the price of something in their stock when Lotus makes it obsolete. They did that with the front and rear suspension bushings too.

Every time I get a new price book from Lotus, I generate the new (SP) offering list and if it isn't there, then it has gone obsolete.

The list that Dave posted a while back was ancient and a lot of those parts are now gone. Use the links in my posts to get the current available list.

I received the new (July) price guide from Lotus today and extracted the current Aftersales part numbers and prices. The list is for ALL Lotus parts, not just the M100.

The last digit of the file name might not reflect the month of the year, rather the sequential list number for that year. I am trying to change that to let it reflect the actual month I received the file.

Lotus is NO LONGER actually providing an AFTERSALES LIST, but they are marking the discounted parts with (SP) at the end of the description. I am using that to produce the current list.

Every month, more and more of the (SP) parts are going obsolete, so don't hesitate if you find something you need on the current list. It might not be available when you finally order it.

If you are considering any other parts and want to know the current Retail price from Lotus or when it went obsolete, just send me an email wit the part number(s) and I will reply ASAP with the most recent information from the currently provided Lotus Price Guide.

If you find a part number you don't recognize and wonder what it is, you can search it at: The DeRoure Website which will open the Parts Guide Illustration and give you the reference number.

Hopefully, this will help protect you from anyone that is gouging their customers.

Pete: you are correct that if a part number "disappears" from the current list, it has most likely gone obsolete. All Lotus Dealers and Stockists (like SJs) have access to the parts at a slight discount and when they sense a part will go obsolete, they will buy up the remaining stock and sell at a better profit above the last Lotus Price. Suspension bushings are a good example of this practice.

Lotus has released a NEW CLEARANCE list to try to reduce inventory

I have massaged it to fit on standard Letter Size paper in PDF format

The Dealers are not making any margin on these parts, but you should support your local dealer.

A LOT of the (SP) "special price" parts are on the list but there are additional parts too. The (previous) July price list remains current with the exception of the parts on this new list.

Things have been quiet from Lotus but I got an end of 2015 price book earlier this week and finally got a chance to filter out the Special Price items into an Excel and PDF file.

The list is not limited to M100 parts, but also any of the series from 026 thru 912. I am clueless what those model numbers equate to. If you know your part number, then the list should be helpful.

You can reverse research a part number you don't recognize by using The DeRoure web site

The price book I got is HUGE by comparison to previous versions but I finally weeded out the excess lines to keep it small enough to live in Excel 2007. I can't publish it but I am happy to look up any part numbers you might be interested in. The Factory book has a reasonable history of every part number that shows interchanges, substitutions and unfortunately obsolescence details. A good many M100 part numbers have fallen into the obsolete category over the last few months.

The prices I listed are the Manufacturer's Recommended Retail Prices and ALL Dealers are supposed to honor those prices. DeRoure are not a dealer, so doesn't have to use those prices.

I am in the US and there are NO dealers that will order any parts for the M100 because Lotus US abandoned the model and sold off their inventory to Dave Bean Engineering in Calif.

I use Stratton (Robert Chapman is the sales director) and he has been very helpful and he honors the Lotus Price scheme.

He will ship any order you want but over time I have realized it was much less expensive if I arrange a UK shipping broker/courier to pick up the package and get it to me.

Small items that can go easily via UK Mail, that is fine but I usually place large orders: my last order was 33kg and 95 x 53 x 35 and brokering with a UK courier like Interparcel, Parcel2go, P4D or Hermes usually saves me a significant amount.

Or get someone from LEC who lives near a Lotus dealership to nip round, put in the order then post to you in France

PS I live about 30 miles away from the only Lotus dealers in Scotland but I can try for you next time I'm in Edinburgh, but it probably won't be for a few weeks

Christopher Neil became Oakmere but stopped selling Lotus when founder member Neil Shepherdson's son Ben was killed in an Elise. They've restarted with Lotus but the Oakmere's website is more about selling new cars than spares..

For your information I have actually ordered from Deroure after I had contacted them and they had rectified the price of the rheostat knob. It is now listed at the Lotus aftersales price (£1.67, see https://www.deroure.com/search.asp?MAK= ... A100M0094F)
(They sorted that out in just a couple of hours, which is in my own opinion rather quick ^^ — I have emailed the so called specialist "garage dizier" more than two weeks ago asking whether they could sell me a hall effect sensor and the price and I am still waiting for an answer ... )

I believe that DeRoure is now part of Bell & Colvill (or at least, B&C ordering is now done from the deroure site), so it should be correct - but obviously worth checking!

Previous to them using deroure, B&C website was always pretty good at listing their prices in accordance with the aftersales prices.

Incidentally, HES's used to be available off the Lotus After sales list. I haven't checked the list recently but you could get one for under £20. Everyone rushed out years ago and bought one "just in case" I'm sure many of them are still in their plastic bags, mine included

Yes the hall effect sensor is still available and is currently listed at £19.77 (excluding VAT).
My car ECM reports error codes 41 and 42 so I'm trying to sort the 41 out first with a new HES.
I have read that 41 and 42 could also result from a faulty magnetic pickup (viewtopic.php?t=5087) — but that's another topic, sorry
