I have the brochure for the SE and a leaflet of sales literature circa 1991.
Should I scan it in for historical interest? Or maybe not?
Just thought it may be of interest to yall.
Cheers,
Phil

There may be copyright issues Phil, so LEC might not be the place for them.

I'm about to PM you however.

Or maybe LEC could seek Copy right permission for these? Although after speaking to the gentleman at Lotus concerned with Copy right theft, I think they may take the opportunity to express their discust with the red letters on the manuals and the manuals themselves, we have on the site
Or that could be a bargaining chip, especially as they think it would take years to digitise the manuals officially and do not have the resources or plans to do so!

We have tried ad nauseam and never even received a reply.

Only if they knew we had them, surely. Or are you saying that they do know?

He didn't actually say LEC but he was talking about distribution, he got very agitated when he mentioned the copy right letters, I thought he was going to make himself ill

I guess he got hold of a copy somewhere.
IMHO charging £80 for a manual is just wrong and paying 50p on ebay for a CD without the red letters is prefferable, I'd have paid a tenner for an official one and my uncle could have batch scanned it in about 5 mins. I just don't think they like us Elanners. They don't seem to know what a fantastic car their engineers created. They seem to be embarrased by the front wheel drive. I'm ranting now
I don't think they know who LEC are or how good LEC is!

Mon dieu!, I've offended the great joker with a genuine mistake when quoting a post that already had a quote in it and mis-edited it. Apologies.
Maybe, I should intentionally try to offend people - Oh damn, that market's cornered.

When I have finished tidying up the scans I'll put it on some DVDs and send it to the regional lec groups. If they want them that is

Phil's scanned them and is moving house. I've cleaned them up and here is a taster of what I will soon have on my personal backup server - no hacking into it you naughty boys!

The final pdf is about 8M. Gary asked for a copy which I thought he could share with the EM crowd tonight but his box is too small!
