Service Manual 'Section WB' P/N E100T0327J for Fed SIR?

Anyone have the FED SIR (airbag) manual that could make a copy for me - or is it online somewhere?

My horns occasionally sound while turning or on bumps, and I'd like to know what precautions are needed before working on this.

Don, I removed the airbag and wheel in an attempt to fit an SE wheel (Monty's Pinky was the donor). I don't think you need to have the SIR manual in order to work on wheel.
That said, I'd definitely disconnect the battery just in case to prevent the airbag from deploying. The airbag is secured by four bolts in the back of the wheel. If memory serves, they're hex or star. Removing these 4 bolts will allow you to remove the airbag. The airbag will simply lift off the front of the wheel. When you loosen and then remove the bolt, you'll know what I mean.
Next, the airbag has a single lead which goes to a wiring harness. When you undo that harness, the airbag will be completely loose.
What's probably going on is that your horn buttons or wires are corroded. Replacing the wires should fix your problem. If you need me to remove my wheel and send you the pictures, I can do that. PM me.

yes, the bag is held by hex or star screws, but I remember tightening 2 of them that got a bit loose with just a simple flat screwdriver that fit right into the head

Also Don, the switches are the same as a Pontiac Firebird. I would imagine they're readily available from a Pontiac dealer if only you could find the right part number and a cooperative Pontiac dealer. Were I to guess, it's a "comes only with the _____ assembly," hence costing a gazillion dollars. The buttons are some of the shoddiest pieces of plastic you'll ever see. I think everyone would be interested in the Pontiac part number if you find it - I got my replacement part thanks to Nitroman's wrecked Elan. Good luck!
