I've never seen an ad for the car anywhere. Did they have any advertising budget? Were there ever magazine ads?

Is that an Advert or a 1 sheet/flyer?

I'm pretty sure that's a newspaper ad - one of my previous Elans came with a whole pile of Elan related newspaper and magazine clippings, and I think that the one Paul posted was from The Times or Sunday Times.
Serial Elan owner: 2002 - 2012. I may yet buy another one...

Yes it is definitely an ad and not a flyer. I have no record of the publication, however it has a Picture of Gun and Roses on the reverse.

That's just the (indiginous) British look!

- I knew Lotus was the first owner of J896 CVG. Now I know what they were doing with it!
Now to try and get my hands on the poster!
Cheers.

This press advert "Gone With the Wind" came from the Sunday Times Magazine around 1991/1992. Quality is not so good as they are 18 years old now! I have had to tidy it up in Photoshop.
