Manuals on CD - Last run.

This coming w/e (June 12/13) I'm going to do my last burn of the usual manuals on CD.  This will include the recently acquired Warranty Hours per Job manual as well. Any members who just wants this Manual to add to their collection please e-mail me (sjv@eclipse.co.uk) using the heading/subject "Warranty File Request" and I'll send it separately after the CD run.<br><br>A couple of people have mentioned that they had difficulty opening one or two of the files which I included on the Donington batch.  Would someone like to explain which ones so that I can check the files' integrity and ensure that this new batch is bug free.<br><br>Sign up below if you want a copy of the CD and e-mail me (sjv@eclipse.co.uk) using the title/subject "Manual CD Request" with your address.  Usual rules apply; they're free to all members of the site.  If I find you distributing copies for profit I'll torch your house.<br><br>Interested parties known to me thus far include:<br>new2u (Craig)<br>grahame<br>Andrew<br>TStevens (Tony)  <br><br>I also have some pre Donington requests still stored from: JC Martin, Tom, Quicksilva and Timmoj66.  If I've already supplied you guys please let me know.<br><br>Sy<br><br>

I have just finished e-mailing the Warranty Service Labour Times to those people who showed an interest in receiving those files exclusively...8.5mB so I hope you've all got clear mailboxes and ADSL connections!<br><br>After a morning of scanning I'm going out for some fresh air, then I'm going to start burning off compilation manual CDs.<br><br>S

I'm getting reports of receipt of the CDs, but also of widespread inability to open them.  They were burnt on my ME machine at home exactly the same way as the Donington batch.<br>I don't know what to say except CD-R drives appear to open them it's almost as if they weren't finished off for use in all drives...they certainly were supposed to be.<br>I can only apologise...Tony, I think we may need your hosting sooner rather than later.

Sy,<br><br>It could be the Adobe version, I seem to remember having problems opening one of your PDFs before.<br><br>I upgraded to version 6 (free) and it worked fine, my guess is that most users will be using version 5 as it's been around for donkeys.<br><br>Trust me, I work in IT  ;) but there again my nick name is Dodgy.
