Short-Shift adapter Kit (Similar to Dave's)

Postby Brit-Car-Nut » Wed 18.06.2014, 21:21

To add more function to the Replacement Shift Cable Kit I currently offer (and satisfy a lot of people asking for it), I have also created a Short-Shift Adapter kit (based on Dave H's product)that basically reduces the length and width of the travel of the shifter when shifting gears.

It doesn't reduce the length of the shifter itself, you just don't need to move your hand all around the cockpit to find the next gear.

To better understand what is included, see my posting under Transmission, and Clutch: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=22769

The entire process and design is discussed even with pictures. It is a close copy to Dave's very popular kit that was offered several years ago. Some minor changes were made to the manufacturing process, but the end effect is still well received and appreciated by drivers that have installed the kit already.

A Link to my website that has installation instructions with pictures and procedural suggestions is also provided when a kit is purchased.

Please make comments or ask questions under the other posting. That way all details will be available to everyone.

The last 10 Short-Shift Kits are ready to dispatch.

I don't know if I will be making any more after those are gone. Ask if you need a kit.

Still a few of these left. I am also working on a mod to the SE cable abutment plate to allow a better fit for those with stock cables.

On the left of each post is the poster's information. The bottom line has several link icons, one is the PM private message option another has an envelope icon which is the email option and sometimes the poster's web site has a linkas well.
