Hood/Bonnet Liners

Postby Elanlover » Tue 17.06.2014, 14:06

Made to fit the Elan perfectly these hood/bonnet liners are an upgrade to the stock liner and are available in two thicknesses. A Lotus logo is also available as an option. Made of nitrile vinyl closed cell foam rubber, these hood liners will not absorb water, antifreeze, or oil. The material was developed for aircraft firewalls and bulkheads and is FAA approved for aircraft. They are light, fire retardant, and insulate against sound and heat while holding up better than the OEM hood liner. You can wash the liner and hose it off and, unlike the factory liner, will not absorb water and resists mildew. Excellent quality, reasonably priced and easy to install - what more could you ask for! A similar product is made by The Little British Car Company. Their link is here.

I installed the LBCC version last week. It fit well and looks good.
I found the recommended 3M glue cheapest at Home Depot, under $14.
