Poor Quality Hazard Switch

It's looking like I'm going to need a new hazard light switch. I've managed to find a guy (alli60) who has sold a few on ebay, however, there is one feedback comment of "Poor Quality". Has anybody in the forum bought one of these switches and if so are they so poor as not to be worth using?

Hi there ,
This may not be a unit failure , rather a lack of use error. Take it out and clean up the pins , or just switch it on and off 50 times . this usually sorts out the issue .

It’s worth noting that the one being sold on eBay by this vendor is NOT a genuine M100 hazard switch. The description mentions that it has a white triangle logo on the front, which makes it a Vauxhall switch (probably from a Carlton). Having said that, it’s likely to work OK (assuming it’s serviceable), but it won’t look the same.

I would agree with Clemo’s diagnosis and cure.

There have been some concerns raised on FaecesBook but I haven't managed to get to the bottom of why.

Thanks for your experiences. I went ahead and bought the switch off ebay from alli60. I asked him in advance about the "poor quality" feedback on ebay. He said he only had this one comment in the 20 he had sold so far. He also mentioned that the chap who made the comment didn't ask for his money back, so I guess the chap was happy to use the switch or was rich enough to throw it in the bin. Anyway for me the switch came next day and I have to say I have no ability to say whether it is poor quality or not. It clicks on and off. alli60 said if I didn't like it, I could send it back. I guess you can't say fairer than that. I've not installed the switch, hoping to do it later this week.
I'll advise whether it works or not.
