Sad to learn of the death of John Callahan, a valuable resource and supporter of the M100 community. John passed on August 6, 2026.
John helped many of us to keep our cars operational, especially the North American owners. He sourced parts and manufactured some that weren't available. He created and maintained a website for M100 owners.
John battled poor health, and trust he has been released from his pain.
Here is John's obituary:

Wow, really bummed to hear that. Talked with John on the phone several times. He was not optimistic about his health, but it still is a bummer.

A sad loss for the LEC community.
His gear cables have transformed my car.

So sorry to hear this news. Spoke to him several times and he was very helpful, although he did divide opinion at times.
I was well aware of his health issues, so wasn't totally surprised.
I hope his executors can sort out his M100 (and MG?) stock satisfactorily.
Like others I am well pleased with his short shift and replacement cables kit.
RIP BCN.

John, you are missed. My car wouldn't be on the road with your help, advice, and quality parts. The passion you brought to the M100 is hard to match! May countless owners continue to enjoy theirs by reading your advice, found on this forum.

So sad to hear that John has passed away, we spent many hours talking on the phone, he was an amazing guy and his dedication the M100 was second to none. Without him, we would never have had the Door handle escutcheons or B post caps.
I pray that his wife Maggie is doing ok without him, he has been through so much with different clinical trials. It's a sad loss for all of his family, friends and the LEC community. He will be sadly missed by so many people
RIP John.
