Well we are both speechless, we had the pleasure of roly's company in the isle of mann and his humour and fantastic personality made the weekend special we still talk about the night in the Chinese in peel and the sauce bottle covers, I last met roly at the lotus day at Donington a few years ago and it was like we had not had a gap of two years since we last met, I send my best wishes to all his family and will truly miss the man who helped bring trams to Edinburgh roly will understand

We will miss him

I did.
I work in IT you know

I took dad's Elan for a service and MOT last week - sailed through both with only wiper blades required. Dad would have been proud!
Big thanks to Kevin at Esprit Cars, Hazel Grove.

Very sorry to hear about Roland. I have been away from the Forum for some time this year.

I met up with Roland several times, the last time when we met up with Wayne and his sister at Cubly Hall last year.

Janet & my thoughts go out to his family.

Good to here that junior Roland has still got his car.

Wow a year that has really flown by, I hope that Rolands family are still using the car regularly, it was a nice example and one that should be seen out and about.

Hope you are well Nic, would be good to catch up some time soon

I haven't looked at the forum for more than a year, and indeed haven't driven at all for much of that time, due to a pair of major back operations. I was extremely sad to read this news, as Roland was always one of the good guys, and gave freely of his time, and was wise counsel for me when it was needed. Thanks Inkitin, and see you on another track, another day.

Well, due to the recent flurry of old photos going onto the LEC Facebook page, I hunted through an old hard drive and found this one........
