John Mountain sadly passed away this morning. John was a Lotus engineer who was involved in the electrical design of many Lotus cars, including the DeLorean. As well as being an M100 owner, he was extremely helpful and always had a positive outlook on life, even during the last year while waiting for a kidney replacement and falling off his boat… onto his driveway. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

I had the privilege to work with “Magic” for 6 years. I am deeply saddened to discover he has passed away.
He taught me a great deal and was I am certain, instrumental in helping me in my career at Lotus Engineering.
John was the King of relay and diode clever circuit design. I’ll confess we fell out over political work stuff, we recently made up due to this forum.
John Magic Mountain - if you ever met him you’d never forget.
Massive respect
RIP J’M’M
