Air conditioner problems

Hi friends
the air conditioning was working well and heard a kind of explosion and began appear smoke and with horrible smell
At this time i dont have air conditioning, anyone have any idea what happen ?

I've had the same thing happen to my first car. Basically one of the high pressure lines between the compressor and the condensr has failed, letting the refrigerant gas escape from the system. It is probably a rubber hose that fail and I'd guess it's close to the exhaust pipe where the heat has cooked the rubber over time. The smell was probably the compressor oil being sprayed onto the hot exhaust. I wouldn't run the AC untill the hose is eplareplaced as you risk damaging the compressor if ther is not oil and gas circulating through the system.
