Repairs after LOG 38

Nothing like a long trip to show you what is not working. 800 mile round trip to LOG 38. The electric coolant pump will only work if you tap on it. The a/c works great but only if going fast enough.
The a/c changes from the dash to the floor when you accelerate the engine.

The vacuum system for the a/c could be leaking or the one way valve could be faulty. That would cause the change from dash to feet. The pump just needs to be changed. Looks like a standard pump from other cars. Anyone know what else the pump fits?

The a/c not working well at slow speeds is more about the fans not turning on. The electric diagrams show a pressure switch that trips the fans on. Is the the trinary switch or something else? The fans work when you engine temps gets up there. Just no fans when the a/c is turned on. Relay possible???

All in all it was a good trip with very fast speeds on the major roads due to good traffic. On the way back the rain went from light to very heavy.

Possibly the vacuum reservoir/canister is leaking?

At the Colorado LOG I had my trinary switch replaced by a Mercedes unit.
