Air Conditioning Pipe In Passengers Footwell

Postby Nickydee » Sun 27.06.2010, 11:36

Hi

Underneath the what I assume is the air con unit in the passengers footwell is a single black pipe which runs into the A panel.

Just wondered if any body knows the purpose of this as mines leaking and I have not got access to the manuals at the mo. Looks like to just be a drain for condensed water but as I say Im not sure.

Thanks

Nick

I would imagine it's just the expelled water. It couldn't really be much else...

On a different note. Has anyone retro-fitted A/C to their car? I've noticed a company called COOLIT whom are based in Dorset offer such a service. Removing the dash in these cars worries me though, because they'll never go back the same and the squeaks and rattles are likely to start then... Wonder how much it would cost?
