Just discovered one of my cooling fans is not switching on when required.
Both fans are operational as when I change the connectors from the right to left the other fan will run so it appears to be the feed to the connector that is the problem. Does each fan have its own fuse and relay or do they work from the same source?
If both fans operate through the same fuse and relay circuit I guess the most likely cause would be a break in the wiring to the connector of the non-functioning side. I am working on the assumption that both fans work together in tandem rather than a 2 stage duty and assist mode but happy to be corrected.
I would be glad of any guidance before I start trying to figure out electrical diagrams

Each fan is fused separately:

Whilst it would see to be a blown fuse from your swapping of supply, I suggest that you also check the earth leads for both fans.

Thanks BCN, will check the fuses first and hope it is just one of them that has blown.

Aha!
At last an easy fix on the Elan, blown fuse replaced and both fans now operating
