Heater valve

My heater valve has given up today I’ve source a replacement just wondered whether this can be changed without draining the system as the coolant has recently been changed?

There will be some leakage, but if you undo the 2 jubilee clips first, then get the new valve to hand it can be switched fairly quickly with minimal coolant loss. You will still need to bleed the system afterwards though to disperse any airlocks, but you shouldn't need to add too much fluid.
